Qualities of Selection : Frequency, Constrast, Intensity, Novel stimuli
Below, I have linked a commercial ads which contains the qualities among those four qualities of selection. In my opinion, advertisement is one of the most clear and straight forward illustration for finding out those qualities.

The german coast guard talks in his radiotelegraph with an English ship crew who is under emergent situation, and he keep shouts 'sinking, we are sinking'. Yet, the german coast guard who can't speak English hear it as 'we are sinking'. I think the content of this was creative enough to encompass under novel stimuli. This somehow contains the qualities of contrast too because, just after showing this dumb german coast guard, the English Education stuff shows up so that kind of contrast.

This is comparatively a long advertisement which shows the performance of the same motorbike for few minutes. This is a very boring ads who are not interested in motorbike. But for bike riders the frequency and intensity in this ad might work.

This is really a straight forward ad which was on air during the last year presidential campain in U.S. which contrast the policies of Obama and McCain.
